Add a user

Give someone a named account with the right role and answer language.

Choose the role

Viewer, technician, expert or administrator: see Roles. Give technicians and shift leads technician, the engineer who curates knowledge expert, and site IT administrator.

Add the account

The command prompts for a password of at least 12 characters. To script it, pass --password-file FILE. Add --language pl for answers in Polish (other codes in Languages and themes).

Check it

The user signs in at the edge PC's address. After 5 failed attempts in 5 minutes the account is locked for 15 minutes.

Instead of local accounts, let users sign in with their network account over LDAPS and map roles in config/directory.json: see Accounts and sign-in.
