Source viewer
Opening a citation: code, documents, drawings, work orders, alarms, trends, parts and model replays.
Click a source ID anywhere in an answer, a handover summary or a workflow result to open it in the source viewer. It opens over the current screen; Close returns you to where you were.
What each source shows
| Source | The viewer shows |
|---|---|
plc:// code | The rung, network or lines cited, highlighted, with the program and the tags they read and write |
plc:// tag | The dependency diagram: on the left the code that writes the tag, on the right the code that reads it, below the alarms, interlocks and HMI objects linked to it |
doc:// document | The cited page and section of the document revision, or the cited row of a spreadsheet or ECAD report |
doc:// drawing | The drawing page with the device highlighted, and Also on: links to the other pages it appears on (cross-references, terminals, cables) |
wo:// | The work order or technician journal record, with symptom, cause and action |
alm:// | The alarm occurrence: time, alarm, transition and value |
ts:// | The trend of the tag with the cited window highlighted and its number of samples |
dx:// | The confirmed diagnosis and the corrective action recorded |
part:// | The spare part and its stock reading |
mdl:// | A model replay: the measured series solid, the model's prediction dashed with its band, labelled Model prediction, not a reading, with the mean residual and the share of samples inside the band |
On a trend whose tag a behavioural model replayed in the same session, Show the model prediction from this session's replay overlays the prediction (shown by default, can be hidden).
When a source has changed
Each answer records the content hash of every source it cited. If the source changed later (a new code import, a new document revision), the viewer says so: "This source has changed since the answer cited it; the revision the answer cited is shown." When a newer revision exists, its ID is given so you can open it.
For a document read in place from a share, the viewer also shows where the document lives. When its source cannot be reached, it says so and shows the indexed excerpt, or the cached page image where page_cache is on; when the cited version is gone from the share, it opens the current version labelled as changed since cited. See Document catalogue.
Keyboard and screen readers
The viewer is a modal dialog: focus moves into it when it opens, and Escape closes it. Trends and drawings carry a text description of what they show.
